An Introduction The ZipLine 3.0 Web Phone

This page provides an overview of the ZipLine 3.0 web phone. It presumes that you have already successfully completed our online Starting Guide for Interpreters.

Once logged into ZipDX.com you will see a listing of your In-Progress Conferences and Pending Conferences. Clicking on the Web Phone icon in either listing will launch the ZipLine 3.0 web phone and connect you to the conference.

The Web Phone icon is displayed ten minutes prior to the scheduled start of the call. If you don’t see the icon try refreshing your browser window by pressing the F5 button.

Zipline 3.0 is designed to mimic the traditional interpreter’s console found at a conference venue. It controls the flow of interpretation, as well as acting as a high-quality soft phone.

The following image shows ZipLine 3.0 with interpretation on. The interpreter is unmuted, listening to the Floor channel while delivering into the English channel.
